Welcome to the Berthelsen, Myrtue, Willadson, Wilson & Martens directory.   This directory contains information on the roots of our family. The data contained here was gathered by different members of this family, each tracing back ancestors from their own perspective. Their chains of descendants were detailed quite well in their respective lines.

Included here is a GEDCOM structured genealogy created with Family Tree Maker software, and converted for use here with GEDLiving by Randy Winch, and GED2HTML by Gene Stark.   (I recommend all three packages).

The original data on the Willadson family was compiled by Ruth Elizabeth Willadson (Aunt Ruth).   The Wilson data was gathered by Ada (Thomas) Griffith.   Both fine ladies are greatly missed.   The Berthelsen data is from a combined effort of Amos Albert Berthelsen and his niece Cheryl Lynn Berthelsen. Amos likewise has passed away. Cheryl did extensive genealogical research via the LDS Family History Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Virginia (Willadson) Carrigan, (that's me), took over my Aunt Ruth's work and I picked up Ada Griffith's data following her untimely death also.

It was through the Internet that Cheryl and I got together and she has graciously contributed her Berthelsen data. (Thank you Cheryl so very much.)

Much of the Myrtue data is from Patricia Adi who has been collecting information from family members for quite some time.

I will do my best to keep all of this up to date. (With everyone's help).

We have some written history that I am sure everyone will enjoy.   The   Soren Wilson History   tells of the immigration of one family from Denmark in 1857.   The   Soren P. Wilson & Willads P. Willadson History   details the later immigration and exploits of two nephews and other relatives.   And the   Martens Family History   tells of the pioneer times endured by the Martens family.
